What committees can I join?
Committees are listed below!
Why Join a Committee?
Participating in a committee is a great way to learn skills that will benefit you as a professional. Additionally, this experience will look great on your resume, it will give you experience to run for a BAP officer position, and enable you to discuss accomplishments you’ve done when interviewed by firms. It also allows you to meet and get to know fellow BAP initiates/members on many different levels. In some cases, it gives you one on one time with firm associates that you would otherwise have not had.
How are committees organized?
Each committee consists of an officer, a director, and other members/candidates. The director position will have more responsibility than the others, so this position is usually for members already initiated and will be chosen by the officer. The initiates may join to earn points in various areas needed (depending on committee involved in).
How are points distributed?
Points are disbursed on an hourly basis, by how much time is given in meetings, events, background work, etc. It is at the officer’s discretion to give more or less points depending on work and effort involved.
